Glossy Chocolate Icing
Melt together over hot water 3 sq. unsweetened
chocolate (3 oz.), 3 tbsp. shortening. Cool slightly.
Beat together until consistency to spread
2 cups sifted confectioners' sugar, 5 tbsp. milk, the
melted shortening and chocolate, 1/4 tsp. salt, 1 tsp.
vanilla. Makes enough for Large Cake. For Small Cake
use half the amounts of ingredients.
This recipe is identical to . . . Fudge Icing . . . but:
- Does not specify the temperature of the milk.
