Melt 3 oz. of unsweet-
ened chocolate and 3 tbsp. vege-
table shortenng (such as Snow-
drift) or butter, over hot water.
Stir 2 cups sifted confectioners'
sugar and 1/2 tsp. salt into 5 tbsp.
hot milk. Add melted chocolate,
beat well. Add 1 tsp. vanilla. Add
1 more tbsp. hot milk if needed.
This recipe is identical to . . . Glossy Chocolate Icing . . . but:
- Specifies the use of hot milk.
