To 1/2 cup shortening
(such as Snowdrift) or butter, add
4 cups confectioners' sugar;
cream together. Stir in 2 tsp. va-
nilla and enough cream (about 1/4
cup) to get a smooth icing. Frost
cake. Reserve about 1 cup of ic-
ing; tint with a few drops of red
coloring for pink decora-
tion. Use cake decorator (or cone
made from wax paper) to make
pink ribbon design. Place pink
cream mints around base. Use
small glass in center for flowers.
